Welcome to another exciting year of the Maryland Statewide High School Mock Trial Competition! We are thrilled to welcome returning teams and coaches—and especially those joining Mock Trial for the first time.

This Year, Mock Trial Is Going Digital

Beginning with the 2026–2027 season, MYLaw will no longer print and distribute hard copies of the Mock Trial case. Instead, the case and related materials will be available electronically through the Mock Trial website.

This shift reflects what is happening in state Mock Trial programs across the country: everyone is going digital. Moving to electronic materials allows us to provide teams with information more efficiently, make updates and clarifications easier to access, and reduce the significant cost and waste associated with printing and shipping thousands of case books each year.

Teams are welcome to print their own copies of the case if they prefer to work from paper.

The Mock Trial website will be your central source of information throughout the season.

In addition to the case materials, important rules, announcements, clarifications, deadlines, competition information, training resources, and other updates will be posted here. Some information may be added or updated as the season progresses.

Coaches and team members should plan to visit the website regularly—from now through the conclusion of the competition season—to make sure they are working from the most current information.

We have an exciting season ahead and look forward to seeing Maryland's Mock Trial teams back in the courtroom.
