About MYLAW...Since 1975, Maryland Youth & the Law (MYLAW) has been teaching youth about the law and legal system, and helping to foster an appreciation for the American Judicial System. Until our recent name change, we were the Citizenship Law Related Education Program (read about our unveiling here).
2018 LAW LINKS LADIES HIT THE ROAD....
“Seek first to understand, then to be understood”
MYLAW prides itself on providing “real life” experiences for young people. We value the partnerships, community, and alumnae who return to our programs to channel our youth in positive directions.
MY Law Links is a paid, full-time, summer internship for youth interested in gaining professional work experience, or who are considering a law-related career path.
During the Law and Leadership Institute, the educational component of the program, our interns are exposed to an array of speakers and experiences. Ms. Alicia Wilson, Law Links ‘98, spoke to our interns about her experience as an intern, and described her memory of being told that they were setting the stage for the future of this internship program. “The way you conduct yourself, the work you perform, and the relationships you develop would determine whether the program continues.” (CONTINUED)
