The Advocacy Project

Angel's Advocacy Project, entitled, "Better Biking for Baltimore," focused on bicycle safety. An avid bicyclist, Angel's bicycle is her primary mode of transportation in and around Baltimore City. She advocated for bicycle training resources, as well as mandatory training in bicycle safety and related laws for Baltimore City Police - ultimately creating safer interactions between motorists and cyclists.

Eddie's project, entitled "The Baltimore City Citizen and Police Initiative," consisted of two parallel work efforts: restorative practices to identify and address communication and relationship issues between citizens and police officers, and the use of action items to address negative perceptions of police officers.

Topics of recent advocacy projects

  • Lower the Voting Age to 17
  • New Park Heights Rec Center
  • Youth Communication Habits
  • Environmental Awareness
  • Cyber Bullying
