Alicia Wilson, 1998 Law Links
Mergenthaler Vocational Tech

Alicia Lynn Wilson is the Senior Vice President and Senior Legal Counsel to the Port Covington Development Team. She is responsible for ensuring that the project generates a measurable beneficial social and environmental impact alongside a financial return while ensuring transparency and accountability to stakeholders. Prior to joining Sagamore Devlopment Company, Wilson was partner at the law firm of Gordon Feinblatt, a full service law firm in Baltimore. She successfully litigated cases before state and federal courts throughout Maryland and DC. Wilson is actively involved in civic and charitable organizations. She currently serves on the Executive Board of the CollegeBound Foundation as its program chair, Center for Urban Families, The UMD Foundation at Baltimore, Associated Black Charities, UMD Francis King Carey School of Law Board of Visitors, Baltimore Corps. the Diverse Attorney Pipeline Programs, and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, She is a graduate of Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School, UMBC, and the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Throughout the years Wilson has been recognized for her accomplishments and public service. In early 2017, Wilson was named one of Baltimore' 2017 Champions of Courage by Fox45 for her work on youth development, social entrepreneurship, economics, social justice and workforce development. Wilson was named a 2018 Unstoppable Woman by the UWAC Collective and in mid-April was honored by the Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women as 2018 Power Woman. Most recently, Wilson was named Community Advocate of the Year by the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce.
Wilson is know to say, " I am so "rich" and I'm not talking about money. I just am blessed to live an ordinary life that becomes extraordinary every time I think of how my past continues to weave into the present and impact my future."

Robin Ricks, 2001 Law Links

A 2001 Law Links Intern, Robin graduated at the top of her high school class and went on to receive her Political Science degree from St. Mary's College. She returned to her home town, where she attended Johns Hopkins University while working as a College Bound Counselor with New Era Academy. In 2010, she moved to DC for a similar position with the DC School District.

Brandon Long, 2002 Law Links
Baltimore City College

Brandon participated in the 2002 Law Links Internship, where he interned with the law firm of (then) Rosenberg, Proutt, Funk & Greenberg. Since graduating from Baltimore City College, Brandon attended Benedictine College in Columbia, SC where he obtained his B.S. degree in Criminal Justice. He has since acquired his M.S. in Criminal Justice as well, and currently works with the FBI as an Investigative Specialist. In an email he wrote to Law Links, he remarked, "I attribute much of my success to the positive foundation the program instilled in me at a very young age."

Vanea Morrell, 2002 Law Links
Baltimore City College

Once a Law Links intern with the State's Attorney's Office, Vanea is now a Baltimore City Assistant State's Attorney! Vanea attended Dartmouth University before going onto Michigan State University College of Law.

Jazmine Dorsey, 2006 Law Links
Western High School

PictureJazmine Dorsey, Law Links 2006, was the captain of the 2015-2016 National Trial Team at UM Carey Law.

​Jazmine S. Dorsey participated in the 2006 Law Links internship program, where she worked for the law firm of Rosenberg, Martin, Greenberg, LLP. She attributes much of her success to her experiences there and the guidance and mentorship that she continues to receive from the attorneys at the firm. Jazmine went on to become a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Judge Wanda Keyes Heard of the Baltimore City Circuit Court.  She then received a B.A. in Political Science from The George Washington University.  During college, Jazmine studied abroad for a semester at the University of Ghana, West Africa.  After college, Jazmine worked for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in their Office of Employment Discrimination Complaint Adjudication.  
Jazmine is currently in her second year at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.  This past summer, she served as a legal clerk in the Media Bureau of the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, D.C. She is the captain of the School of Law’s National Thurgood Marshall Trial Team for the 2015-2016 academic year. Jazmine also participated in a law school clinic focused on prisoner reentry. Additionally, Jazmine is an active member of Phi Alpha Delta International Fraternity, Inc. and a recipient of the University of Maryland Carey Law Leadership Scholarship. Jazmine aspires to become a dedicated trial attorney and judge.

John Dailey, 2003 Law Links
Baltimore City College

John Calvin Dailey III, has resumed his duties as a Court Commissioner for the District Court of Maryland for Baltimore City.  In 2013, (then) Chief Judge Ben Clyburn, upon the recommendation of (then) Administrative Judge John Hargrove, appointed Dailey to his position as Court Commissioner for the District Court of Maryland for Baltimore City. As Court Commissioner John’s primary function is to conduct initial appearances hearings, issue criminal summonses and arrest warrants, set and accept bonds and determine conditions of
pre-trial release for arrested persons. For a few years, Dailey served as an Investigator in the Maryland Office of the State Prosecutor. Dailey assisted the office within the investigation and prosecution of criminal activities related to public corruption within the State of Maryland.
 John currently volunteers and sits as a “Judge” for MY Baltimore City Teen Court, another program under Maryland Youth and the Law (MYLAW).. John interned with Law Links during the summer of 2003 with the law firm of Whiteford, Taylor & Preston. He attended (then) Villa Julie College where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies. He continued his education and in 2012 obtained his master’s degree in Forensic Studies. Before his current appointment, he worked as the Judicial Assistant to the judges’ chambers at Baltimore City's Eastside District Court. He is a 2004 graduate of Baltimore City College High School and proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. 

Shakiera Stokes, 2010 Law Links
New Era Academy

Under the tutelage and counseling of former Law Links Intern, Robin Ricks ('01), who also served as a College Bound Counselor at New Era Academy, Shakiera graduated from New Era Academy and was the first generation in her family to obtain a high school diploma. Despite receiving a full scholarship to Towson State University, Shakiera chose to attend St. Mary's College instead, which she felt was a better fit for her. Shakiera continues to leave a lasting impression on all who meet her.

Taneisha Carter, 2011 law links
Mergenthaler Vocational Tech

Taneisha interned with Salsbury, Clements, Bekman, Marder, & Adkins during the summer of 2011. After graduating from Mervo, she received the Incentive Award to the University of Maryland (College Park), where she received her undergraduate degree. Taneisha is now working as a Research Assistant with the University of Maryland Medical School. She plans to pursue her Ph.D. in the Fall of 2018.

Zharde Todman, 2012 Law Links
Baltimore Polytechnic Institute

Zharde spent the summer of 2012 interning with the law firm of Brown, Goldstein & Levy. During her summer breaks from college at Frostburg University, Zharde continued her employment with BGL! She plans to complete her degree at the University of Baltimore.

Angel Yates, 2012 Law Links
MD Academy of Technology & Health Sciences

Angel interned during the summer of 2012 with Johns Hopkins Health System Legal Department. Following her graduation from high school, Angel chose to attend Hampton University where she is majoring in Criminal Justice, and minoring in Political Science. She is interning this summer with the Public Defender's Office here in Baltimore, and will graduate from H.U. in 2018.

Thaakirah Cason, 2012 Law Links
Western High School

Thaakirah Cason graduated from Western in 2013 and attended University of Baltimore where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and majored in jurisprudence. Thaakirah interned with Mercy USA as a community organizer, and Helping Hand for Development and Relief, where she coordinated in-kind donations for victims of various natural disasters. She is currently a 2L at  University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and is interested in Employment Law, particularly employment discrimination. She is a member of the International Moot Court Team, the BLSA Programming Chair, and the Capital Area Muslim Bar Association. This past summer, Thaakirah worked at the Baltimore City Legal Department's Office of Legal Affairs.

Wayne Young, 2013 Law Links
Mergenthaler Vocational Tech

Wayne interned with the Office of the Attorney General during the summer of 2013, and returned as the Senior Law Links Assistant during the summer of 2015. He is currently in his Freshman year at McDaniel College, where he working toward a dual degree in Social Work and Political Science.

Wayne has originated the first ever Mock Trial & Debate Club at McDaniel, to which than 20 students currently belong. Additionally, Wayne was hired as the Student Ambassador to Mervo's Student Debate Club. As such, he assists the high school club members in person and via video conference.

Joi Washington, 2013 Law Links
Western High School

Joi worked as a Law Links Intern during the summer of 2013 for the Legal Aid Bureau, Inc. As of 2016, she is a sophomore at Clark Atlanta University where she is involved with Toastmasters - an organization focused on public speaking. Joi is also working with the National Council of Negro Women.

La'shaee' Williams, 2013 Law Links
Western High School

La'Shaee Williams, who interned during the summer of 2013 with the Office of the Public Defender, is spending the summer between her sophomore and junior years interning with Parole & Probation here in Baltimore. She is currently attending Georgia State University, where she has a double major in sociology and philosophy. She plans to pursue Law School after undergrad.

The Seed School of Maryland

Josh worked as a Law Links Intern during the summer of 2014 with Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler. He applied to and was accepted, with a full scholarship, to Mount St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg, MD. He will begin there this Fall!

Darius Adejo-Liely, 2014 Law Links, KASA Baltimore College Preparatory School

Darius interned with the law firm of Duane Morris during the summer of 2014. During his internship, he applied for (and received) one of the two coveted Diversity Scholarships awarded annually by the Association of Legal Administrators. This Fall, he will begin a new chapter with a full scholarship to the University of Virginia!
